In the potent words of Christopher Fry – ‘Thank God our time is now when wrong comes up to face us everywhere, Never to leave us till we take the longest stride of soul we ever took.’ In an unprecedented time where wrong comes up to face us everywhere how do we rise up to our most human and loving self.
This workshop is an invitation to take a ‘stride of the soul’. Together we will be exploring the themes of The Easter Triptych painting in The Sacred Grove series within the gallery and workshop space at Thistle Hall. We will be partaking in group sharing and creative and artistic activities as a pathway into the themes of the 'trees of life' that appear on each panel. Themes such as letting go, transformation, renewal and love – specifically in connection to our own personal journeys.
As Cristopher Fry continued in his poem A Sleep of Prisoners – ‘Affairs are now soul size, The enterprise is exploration into God. Where are you making for? It take so many thousand years to wake, but will you wake for pity’s sake!’
Join Emily Rose and Mark Geard for an enriching, creative morning filled with their signature humour, depth and creative insights.
